He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Richardson and Evelyn Baker Richardson; and his sisters, Barbara, Carolyn and Diane.

He is survived by: his wife Alice Fay Richardson; his children, Denna Tickle (Michael) of Cameron, NC, Tammy Graveen (Rick) of Wilmington, NC, Donna Davis of Sanford, NC, Wendy Thomas of Sanford, NC., Eugene Richardson Jr. (Tonia) of Cameron, NC and Greg Thomas of Florida; and his brother Billy Richardson of Sanford, NC. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
