He was predeceased by: his adoptive parents, C. R. Tysinger and Bessie Ann Reddick Tysinger; and his mother Imogene Prather Keeling. He is survived by: his daughters, Jessica Avalon and Victoria Arianna; the mother of his children Stephanie Halker Tysinger; his sister Gayle Flannery; and his half-sisters, Debbie Faulkner (Richard) and Diana Javins (James).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
