He was predeceased by: his parents, Olin Green Gunter and Margaret Jacobs Gunter; and his brothers, Earl Wayne Gunter and Benny Jacobs Gunter. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his sons, Tim Gunter (Debbie) of Chatham County and Kevin Gunter (Kim) of Climax; his grandchildren, Knox Gunter (Jana), Lauren Gunter Andrews (Trey) and Krimson Gunter; his great grandchildren, Barkley and Beckett; and his sister Ann Gunter Mason of Sanford. He is also survived by his family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the Hunt Springs Baptist Church (1557 St Andrews Church Rd, Sanford, NC 27332). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 3:15 PM at the Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery (560 Wade Bright Rd, Sanford, NC 27330).
