She was predeceased by: her parents, James Otis Palmer and Nellie Hucks Palmer; and her siblings, Kay Palmer Shepherd and Robert Stephen Palmer. She is survived by: her husband Gordon Wayne Bailey; her daughters, Susanne Bailey Heins (Ned) of Sanford and Katherine Bailey Wheby (Munsey) of Sanford; her granddaughters, Bailey Elizabeth Heins, Katherine Campbell Wheby and Margaret Wells Wheby; her sister Patricia Palmer Sprouse (Junior) of Sanford; her brother-in-law Cecil Evans Bailey (Pat) of Garner; her sister Judy Bailey Hill (Byron) of Greensboro; and her sisters-in-law, Ann Frye Bailey (Virginia) of Chesapeake and Nancy Andrews Palmer of Siler City. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
