He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Harris Carroll and Lucille Olive Carroll; and his siblings, Raymond Carroll and Paulette Carroll Blankenship. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Berryhill Carroll; his children, Chad Harris Carroll (Erin) and Erin Carroll Smith; his grandchildren, Maeson D. Smith, Avram D. Smith, Evelyn C. Carroll, Charlotte L. Carroll, Anna Tapper and Landon Tapper; his sister Donna Carroll Ellis (Johnny); his brother-in-law Larry Blankenship; and his pet Dewey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Pocket Presbyterian Church (669 Pocket Church Rd, Sanford, NC 27330). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
