William B. Stone Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William B. Stone of Sanford, North Carolina, who passed away on June 15, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Burnice Stone and Eunice Stone; his wife Pauline Stone; his daughter Linda Campbell; and his siblings, Charles, Steven, Roger, Bennie, Harry, Charlene Eddins and Mabel Watson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Faye Stone of Sanford, Debbie Lynn Stone of Sanford and Paulette Michelle Harmon of Sanford; his grandchildren, Bryan Campbell, Megan Campbell, Richard Crouch, Erica Campbell, Farren Lynn Welch, Kaylynn Parchman, Daniella Johnson and Franchesca Gautier; and his siblings, Harvey Lee (Lucy) and Sylvia Nunnery (Ricky Lee) of Sanford. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (201 1st St, Broadway, NC 27505). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Poplar Springs Methodist Church (1809 Poplar Springs Church Rd, Sanford, NC 27330).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made Mr. Stone's favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
