He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Bromling Dixon and Julia Ann Strayhorn Dixon; his wife Peggy Braxton Dixon; his grandchild Dallas Brack Dixon; and his siblings, Margaret Crutchfield, Nannie Lou McBane, William, Jake and Edward Dixon.
He is survived by: his sons, Howard Brack Dixon (Susan), Kenneth Lee Dixon (Doresa) and Keith Gary Dixon (Karen); his grandchildren, Maura Morris, Bradley Dixon and Kristi Yow; his sister Mary Ann Rowland; and his close friend Margaret Foster. He is also survived by loving 5 great grandchildren and his 2 step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the AuthoraCare Hospice at 918 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215.
