He was predeceased by: his wife Jamie Keeter Reid; and his father Macon Douglas Reid. He is survived by: his mother Doris Shearin Reid; his children, Macon Tyler Peace Reid of Nashville and James Douglas "J. D."; his sister Robin Reid West (Tim) of Greenville; his siblings-in-law, Jacque Keeter of Scotland Neck and Jim Keeter of Scotland Neck; his mother-in-law Pat Keeter of Scotland Neck; his niece India Silverthorne of Fort Bragg; and his nephews, Zack Keeter of Scotland Neck and Max Keeter of Scotland Neck.
