He is survived by: his children, Martin Edward Bateman Jr. (Danielle) of Hertford, NC, Nicholas Bateman of Avon, NC and Crystal Ruth Bateman (Lloyd Frazier, Jr.) of Bath, NC; his grandchildren, Autumn Helen Bateman, Laci Marie Bateman, Elena Rosilyn Bateman, Sophia Ann Bateman, Madalynn Faith Bateman, Josephine Rose Bateman, Katherine Marie Blandford, Hailey Dawn Blandford, Braden Edward Bateman, Daniel Lee Bateman, Preston Hunter Frazier and Austin Garrett Frazier; his great grandchild Daisey Jene Preble; and his siblings, Elizabeth Bateman Richardson of Camden and Cecil Ray Bateman (Teresa) of Edenton. He is also survived by his family and friends.
