David P. Midyette Jr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David P. Midyette Jr. of Scranton, North Carolina, who passed away on May 23, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Pell Midyette, Sr. and Herma Gibbs Midyette; and his sisters, June Midyette and Carolyn Midyette. He is survived by: his daughters, Vanessa M. Gibbs (Mitchell) of Greenville, Jenna Brinn (Daniel) of Scranton and Davee Midyette of Scranton; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Gibbs, Rylee Ambron (Zachary), Aislyn Brinn and Colby Brinn; and his siblings, Gary Midyette (Judy) of Washington, Diane Moore of Chocowinity and Marie Buck of Chocowinity. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Sladesville Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. A reception was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 5:00 PM.
