He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Clifton DeBerry and Susan Elizabeth Gay DeBerry. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Poyner DeBerry; his son Christopher Allen DeBerry (April); his granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth DeBerry; his sister Cheryl DeBerry Jordan; his nephews, Wesley Spradlin of Conway, NC and Grayson Jordan of Tarboro, NC; his siblings-in-law, Caleb B. Poyner, Jr. of Grandy, NC and Luella Poyner of Barco, NC; and his niece Megan Poyner Waldrop of Powell's Point, NC..
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Askew Funeral Services-Jackson Chapel (313 W Jefferson St, Jackson, NC 27845). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations maybe made to the Alzheimer's Association (https://donorservices.alz.org) or Galatia Baptist Church.
