She was predeceased by: her parents, Ransome Roberts and Rosanne Terry Roberts; her former husband John Daniel Epps; her husband Raymond Boone of Garysburg; her children, Larry Epps, Shirley Gray and Alvesta Epps; and her siblings, Mary Pitchford, James Roberts, Willmon Roberts and Collie Roberts.
She is survived by: her niece FaceTime; her children, John Epps (Sandra) of Pleasant Hill, Earnestine Moody (Henry) of Pleasant Hill and Doris Dew of Roanoke Rapids; her daughter-in-law Annie Epps of Pleasant Hill; her sister-in-law Mary Roberts of Garysburg; and her grandchildren, Michelle B. Davis, Tawanda Brooks (Shawn) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, James Gray Jr. (Saleemah) of Newport News, Virginia, Dwayne Gray Sr. (Jennifer) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Angelo Epps (Shawanda) of Seaboard, Jennifer Ore (Marvin) of Winterville, John D. Epps of Maryland, Tammy Crews (Michael) of New Jersey, Al Tyrone Epps of Georgia, Benighta McFadden (Arthur) of Pleasant Hill, Regina Howard (Willie) of Gainesville, Florida, Annette Thomas of Raleigh and Deborah Thurman (Francis) of Linden. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and caregivers.
Viewing was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness (2766 Cornwallis Rd, Garysburg, NC 27831). A burial was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at the Roanoke Salem Missionary Baptist Church (2757 Cornwallis Rd, Garysburg, NC 27831).
