He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmo Joyner, Sr. and Mable Powell Joyner; his son Corey Levon Joyner, Jr.; his siblings, Larry Joyner, Delmo Joyner, Jr. and Vanessa Bowser; his wife Joyce Joyner of Ahoskie; and his daughter Keeanna Joyner of Culpepper, Virginia.
He is survived by: his siblings, Cynthia Motley of Temple Hills, Patrina Deloatch (Timothy) of Conway and Willie Delmo Freeman (Bridget) of Middletown, Connecticut; his mother-in-law Pattie Freeman (Virginia) of Chesapeake; his siblings-in-law, Tine Lee, Lenise Howling (Quincy) of Newport News, Amanda Howard (Edwin) of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Clarence Smallwood (LaQueeta) of Knightdale; and his aunts, Clorine Spruill (Bruce) and Clara Deloatch. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends.
