Buffaloe of Fort Washington and Eddie M. Buffaloe, Jr. of Garner; his daughters-in-law, Cassandra Sykes Buffaloe and Assata Kimbrough Buffaloe; his grandsons, Bryan C. Buffaloe of Roanoke Rapids, Michael T. Buffaloe of Raleigh, Andre Buffaloe of Jackson and Aren K. Buffaloe of Garner; and his great grandchild Christian Buffaloe of Gaston. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends.
On the same day, Governor Roy Cooper presented him with the Order of the Long Leaf Pine which is North Carolina's highest civilian honor, awarded by the Governor to individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the state.
