She was predeceased by: her daughters, Chiquandria Ambrielle Carter and Tatianya Venyke Carter; her parents, Edward Menton Chadwick III and Sadie Olivia Hyman Chadwick; and her brothers, Edward M. Chadwick IV, Malvern R. Chadwick and Deremius G. Chadwick.
She is survived by: her husband LaVon Carter Jr. of Ohio; her sisters, Tonya C. Godette of Morehead City and Avonya L. Chadwick of Beaufort; her sister-in-law Teresa Chadwick of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; her aunt Norma Holland of Beaufort; her sister Lisa Tann New of Baltimore, Maryland; and her goddaughters, Sylvia, Mercedes, Chandele and Gabrielle. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and dear friends.
