He is survived by: his wife Zell Story of Garysburg; his children, Laquita Gary (Christopher) of Halifax, Tasha Moses of Raleigh, Joseph Lamont Douglas of Chesapeake, Virginia, Ashley and Terry Garner of Garysburg; his siblings, Louise Epps (Arthur) of Garysburg, Ray Douglas (Mae Belle) of Garysburg, Robert Douglas (Gloria) of Jackson, Maggie Douglas of Weldon, Dozine Douglas Robinson of Cleveland, Rozetta Douglas, Bishop Carlton Davis (Gloria) of Weldon and Joyce Boone (Alvin) of Louisville; his uncle Collin Williams of Weldon; his parents-in-law, James and Katie Trice of Weldon; and his siblings-in-law, Susie Evans (Ricky), Claiborne Banks, Gloria Turner (John), Barbara Parker (Jerome), Tammy Braxton (Antwain), Lizzie Trice, Clarice Ransome, Robert Story (Nicole), James Story, Shane Story and Ronnie Story. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
