He was predeceased by: his parents, Tilden Grant Cheek and Dulcie Williams Cheek; and his brothers, Willard Darrell Cheek and Donald Kirby Cheek. He is survived by: his wife Gail Cockman Cheek; his sons, Clint Cheek (April) and Anthony Blake (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Taylor Marsh (Bryce), Caitlin Ocheltree (Nick), Kenly Rendleman, Jacob Blake, Tyler Blake, Matthew Blake and Sara Blake; his great grandchild Emma Grace Marsh; his brothers, Larry Cheek (Ellen) of Harlem, GA, Lynn Cheek (Linda) of Carthage, NC and Glynn Cheek (Ruth) of Asheboro, NC; his sister-in-law Margaret Cheek of Kings Mountain, NC; and his pet Kaiser.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Unity Grove Baptist Church (849 Mt Carmel Rd, Carthage, NC 28327). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
