He was predeceased by: his parents, Jackson Fields and Esther Fields; and his brothers, James Fields, David Wayne "Buddy" Fields and Jerry Lee Fields.
He is survived by: his siblings, Susie Barton (Wayne) of Linwood, NC, Della Fields of Thomasville, NC, Liz Hayes (Vernon) of Seagrove, NC and Darrell Fields of Thomasville, NC; his daughter Ashley Fields of Lexington, NC; and his pet Little Bit. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
