He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Raymond Luther and Rosa Freeman Luther; his siblings, Roger Luther, George Luther (Dot) and Shelby Morris (Claude); and his siblings-in-law, Betty Miller and Rayborn Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Allen Luther; his daughters, Sherry L. Allen, Dana L. Shetzler (Jim) and Andrea L. Overfield (Keith); his grandchildren, Claudia Allen, Janie Allen, Jimmy Shetzler, Lily Shetzler, Jack Shetzler, Alta Overfield, Luke Overfield and Cora Overfield; his sister Allene Luther Hall; and his siblings-in-law, Alice Luther, Ann A. Moffitt (Diffie), Tim Allen (Pam) and Gary Miller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Why Not Wesleyan Church (1402 NC-705, Seagrove, NC 27341). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at the Not Wesleyan Church Cemetery (1402 NC-705, Seagrove, NC 27341).
