Ann Bettis Waters Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ann Bettis Waters of Selma, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 24, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Ann Bettis shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Ann Bettis farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Bettis and Thelma Lynch Bettis; and her son Julius Andrew "AJ" Johnson. She is survived by: her daughter Katherine J. Ogburn (James S. Ogburn); her nieces, Heather Tinsley and Stephanie Winborne; and her close friend John Howery.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Divine Crossings Baptist Church (440 Little Devine Rd, Selma, NC 27576).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the SECU Hospice House of Smithfield, 426 Hospital Road, Smithfield, NC 27577.
