He was predeceased by: his parents, William Purdie Barefoot and Lila Mae Barefoot; his siblings, Billy Barefoot, Thomas Barefoot (Mildred) and Mildred Beard (Emmett); and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Wheeler and Betty Wheeler.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Wheeler Barefoot; and his siblings-in-law, Roberta Barefoot, Ray Wheeler (Mozelle) and Doris Wheeler.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parrish Funeral Home, Inc. (1351 S Pollock St, Selma, NC 27576). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
