As we bid Hazel farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Hazel is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Godwin and Annabell Godwin. She is survived by: her siblings, Calvin Godwin, Robert Godwin, Carolyn Godwin and Rolinda Godwin. She is also survived by other relatives, and friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM and on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Bethel AME Church (9632 NC-96, Selma, NC 27576).
