He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Ellis; his children, Alice Reed (AJ), Denise Layton (Daniel), Edna Sessions (Hardy), Amelia Ellis and Joseph Lee Ellis; and his brothers, Harry Ellis Sr., Bobby Ellis and Charles Bailey. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
