She was predeceased by: her father Jethro Edwards; her husband James Elvin Thompson; and her siblings, Daniel "D. G." Edwards and Edna Jones. She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Edwards and Deborah Caraway; and her siblings, Donnie Edwards and Betty Cowart. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
