With sadness, we share the passing of Sandra Starling Hassell of Selma, North Carolina. Sandra, born on July 5, 1943, passed away on August 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ila Mae Starling Moore and Thomas Starling of Selma, NC.; her stepfather Allie Moore; and her parents-in-law, Elizabeth and U. S. Hassell.
She is survived by: her husband Butch; her daughter Beth; her sister Laverne Edwards (Danny); her brother-in-law Frank Hassell (Jane); her nephew Wes Edwards (Dana); her niece Rebecca O'Donnell; her great-nephew Justin Edwards; her pet Cooper; and her caregivers, Tywanna Peace, Carol Jackson, Linda Brown, Shayde Brown and Anne Peele.
