Though Shirley may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Teddy Johnson and Viola King Johnson. She is survived by: her husband Robert Gillett; her children, Jeremy (Lesley), Lee (Donna), Clayton (Melinda) and Colleen (Eric Tidwell); and her brother Durwood Johnson (Faye) of New Bern. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home (5820 US-301, Four Oaks, NC 27524). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Four Oaks (5820 US-301, Four Oaks, NC 27524).
