It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Ray Simpson of Selma, North Carolina, born in Columbus, Ohio, who passed away on April 28, 2024, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father Ramon "Butch" Simpson; his niece Anicia Turner; and his mother Brenda Dillion Buckner. He is survived by : his son Joel Simpson of Foster Care; his nephew Owen Simpson; his wife Amy Tholen Simpson; his daughter Danielle Simpson; and his siblings, Kevin Simpson (Amy), Jason Jenkins, Ramon "Buster" Simpson Jr., Zachary Ellis (Christa), John Scaggs (Debbie), Eva Simpson, Barbara Simpson Saxon, Kim Felkner Jernee and Amanda Simpson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church (8490 NC-39, Middlesex, NC 27557). A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at 6:00 PM and on Sunday, May 5th 2024 at 6:00 PM.
