He is survived by: his mother Eunice Talley Blackwell; his wife Glenda Jones Blackwell; his son Derek Blackwell; his mother-in-law Dorothy Jones; his siblings, Dr. Joyce Blackwell-Johnson of Mebane, Lucy Blackwell Boyd (Terry) of Mebane, Virgie Blackwell O'Bryant (Curtis) of Durham, Tommy Garland Michael Blackwell (Shelby) of Roxboro and Barry Blackwell of Roxboro; and his siblings-in-law, Roberta Barnette, Shelby Cash Garland, Mary Thaxton, Sharion Lawson, Florine Jennings, Arlene Lovelace (Author) and Levi Jones, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews, cousins and friends.
