She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Nathaniel McCain; her siblings, Hazel Blackwell, Bernard McCain and Joyce Hardy-Byrd; and her niece RoChonda Blackwell.
She is survived by: her mother Rohelia Swann McCain (Jesse Pyles); her siblings, Ronnie McCain (Michelle), Lizzie Scott (Jimmie), Keith McCain (Teresa), Jason McCain (Dushay), Brenda Jennings, Michelle Johnson (Carl), Shannon Short (Donald), Shameakia Davis (Tony), Joella Stewart, Mary Hughes and Charlotte Pyles-Moore; her aunts, Mable Swann and Ann Thompson (Harold); and also, Cujo, Pino, Chandler, Rocky and Toby.
The lying in state will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church (12578 NC-119, Semora, NC 27343). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at the same location.
