He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Carl Olson and Edith Borgersen Olson; and his brother Daniel C. Olson, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Bennett Olson; his children, David Olson (Liz) of Huntsville, AL, Steven Welch of Norfolk, VA, Laura Wisk of Newark, DE and Anita Welch of Richmond, VA.; his grandchildren, Charlie Olson, Landry Olson, Ryan Olson, Katherine Lynn (Emma) and Sam Lynn; and his sister-in-law Claire. He is also survived by niece and two nephews.
