She was predeceased by : her parents, Rafiel Hernandez Ibarra and Enriqueta Sanchez Gomez; and her siblings, Julio Cesar Hernandez Sanchez, Yolanda Hernandez Sanchez and Dora Alicia Hernandez Sanchez.

She is survived by : her daughter Mariela Cardenas (Evaristo Cardenas); her siblings, Rafael Hernandez, Miguel Hernandez, Abelardo Hernandez, Enrique Hernandez, Armando Hernandez, Jorge Alfredo Hernandez, Luis Alberto Hernandez, Rosa Carmina Hernandez, Maria, Carmen and Marta Delia; and her grandchildren, Alexis Cardenas and Jonathan Cardenas.

Viewing was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Howell Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel (1500 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Saint Mary of the Angels Catholic Church (3262 US-117, Mt Olive, NC 28365).
