Though Janet may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Janet touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her parents, Jimmy Newkirk and Josephine Newkirk; her brothers, Jimmy "Tyrone" Newkirk, Curtis "Jermaine" Newkirk and Jason Lamont; and her niece Alexis Tyrell Newkirk. She is also survived by one great nephew, three great nieces, several Aunts and Uncles, a host of cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Love Temple (201 N Oak Forest Rd, Goldsboro, NC 27534).
