She was predeceased by: her husband John H. Mewborn; her parents, Brice Reynolds and Rosa Lee Reynolds; her children, Jennie M. Wilmont and Johnny Mewborn; her great grandchildren, Faith Dale and Layla Mewborn; and her sisters, Virginia Rogers and Dorothy Jones.

She is survived by: her children, Joyce Cash (Jill Hartley) of Seven Springs and Jack Mewborn of Seven Springs; and her sisters, Clara Shirey of Gastonia and Hester Taylor of Kinston. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren.
