We announce the death of Edna Inman of Shallotte, North Carolina, who passed away on October 23, 2026, at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris L. Simmons and Annie Coleman Simmons; her husband Samuel Thomas Inman; her brother Teddy "Speedy" Simmons; her son-in-law Pat Long; and her great grandchild Bridgette Anspaugh.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Inman (Sue) of Ash, Allen Inman (Shaina) of Shallotte, Debbie Long of Ash and Theresa Register (Mark) of Ash; her grandchildren, Heath Inman (Tiffanie), Brian Inman (Ashley), Shanetta Wood (Steve), Jeffrey Inman and Ashlie Wells (John); her great grandchildren, Carah Inman, Maggie Wells, Samuel Jac Wells, Madison Ricker (Dalton), Theodore Wood (Mabel), Austin Inman, Isabella Wood, Brayden Inman and Kaitlyn Price (AJ); her great great grandchildren, Annabella Todd, Jaxston McKeithan, Lucas McKeithan and Baker Price; and her sisters, Alta Inman of Ash and Loretta S. Freeman of Stedman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the White Funeral and Cremation Service (4690 East Coast Ln, Shallotte, NC 28470). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (623 Village Rd, Shallotte, NC 28470).
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to SECU Hospice of Brunswick, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, North Carolina 28422.
