She was predeceased by: her parents, James Andrew "Anga" Stockman and Mary Eflyn Koon of Newberry; her son Gerald Wayne Long; and her husband Gerald Lee Long. She is survived by: her daughter Renee Melvin of Goldsboro; her daughter-in-law Tanya Long of Raleigh; and her grandchildren, Zac (Jessica) of Raleigh, Ben (Brooklyne) of Wrightsville Beach, Caleb of Atlanta, Jarred (Julia) of Lowell and Forrest (Seth) of Durham. She is also survived by her eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Camp United Methodist Church (4807 Main St, Shallotte, NC 28470). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Nurture Ministries of Camp United Methodist Church or a local charity of your choice.
