She was predeceased by: her parents, Vera Gaither of Arizona and William Eursie Gaither; her former husband Curman Arnold; her significant other Jervie Babson; her husband Marvin Johnson; her daughter Cheryl Herring; and her siblings, Mary-Lou Parsons, Wynell Hamm, Patricia Garner, Clifton Gaither and Manuel Gaither.
She is survived by: her siblings, Margaret Crews and Charles Gaither; her children, Terri Mercer and Van Johnson (Pam); and her grandchildren, Christy Grice, Amy Chapman, Travis Mercer, Carrie Hewett, Devan Britt and Richard Herring. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
