Though Lena may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lena touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Gore and Letha Carlisle Gore; her husband Billy Gurganus; her daughter Susan Gurganus; her son-in-law Reggie Abbott; and her siblings, Sylvia Pocino and London Gore.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ann Abbott of Shallotte and Robin Farmer (Tracy) of Shallotte; and her brother Louis Gore of Guthrie, Kentucky.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
