He was predeceased by : his siblings, Cecille (Robert), William (Fran) and Joseph (Suzanne). He is survived by : his significant other Noreen Cullinan Cassidy; his children, Megan Herscher (Adam), Brendan Cassidy and Patrick Cassidy (Kate); and his grandchildren, Evelyn Cassidy Herscher, Charlie Michael Herscher, Ian Herscher, Cassius Cassidy and Cormac Michael Cassidy. He is also survived by his wife, his children, and his grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Brunswick Funeral Service (5229 Ocean Hwy W, Shallotte, NC 28470). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 5:00 PM.
