She is survived by: her brother James F. Hewett; her nieces and nephews, Rebecca Justice (Gary), Gary Hewett (Chris), Debby Ferebee, Glen Shaw, Tamara Herring, Charles "Chip" Herring (Gail), Tina McLaughlin (Michael), Cheryl Burke (Donnie) and Curtis "Beemer" Herring (Mary); and her great-niece Kim Moenich (Navid).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church (494 Mt Pisgah Rd SW, Supply, NC 28462). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at the Greenlawn Memorial Park (1311 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 494 Mt. Pisgah Road SW, Supply, North Carolina 28462.
