She was predeceased by: her parents, Everette Pinkston and Elma Surratt Pinkston; and her son Wesley Shoemaker. She is survived by: her husband William Shoemaker (Bill) of Shallotte, NC; her sister Kay Pinkston Coley of Concord, NC; her nephew Mark Shoaf (Kamm) of Piedmont, SC; her sister-in-law Adelaide Shoemaker of Red Springs, NC; her niece Kay Carreira (Brian); and her great-niece Gracie Carreira of Pineville, NC..
