He is survived by: his wife Carolyn McGirt; his son Gregory Christopher McGirt (Melena) of Lumberton; his siblings, Phyllis Hunt (Ronnie) of Red Springs, Jeff McGirt (Cherylann) of Florida, Dennis L. McGirt of Lumberton and Vicki L. McGirt of Lumberton; his grandchildren, Kayla, Krista, Hope, Dakota, Maleiah and Eli; and his great grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, Jamison, Kylie and Kennedy.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Burnt Swamp Baptist Church (216 Evergreen Church Rd, Lumberton, NC 28360). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
