He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Billy" High and Jessie D. High; and his brothers, Dennis and Dewey High. He is survived by: his children, Sarah High Gonyea (Jason) of Rocky Mount and Christopher High of Elm City; his brother Stevie High of Bailey; and his close friend Debra Pierce of Sharpsburg.
