He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Charles Matthews Sr. and Mildred Matthews; his wife Sandra Matthews; and his son-in-law Mark Yates. He is survived by: his daughters, Stephanie Stearns (Ron Stearns) and Holly Yates; and his grandchildren, Reed Yates, Alex Yates and Ryan Carr.
