In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Betty leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Betty may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Jennings and Doe Jennings; her husband Gordon Dixon; and her son Robert Dixon. She is survived by: her son Doug Dixon (Debbie Kelley); her daughter-in-law Kristy Dixon; and her granddaughter Grace Dixon. She is also survived by loving caregivers who became friends, and an extended family.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Elizabeth Baptist Church (301 N Post Rd, Shelby, NC 28152). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elizabeth Baptist Church Music Program.
