He is survived by: his parents, Billie Towery and Margaret Ann Walker Towery; his wife Darlene Kennedy Towery; his stepchildren, Tylor Richard of Shelby and Brittany Richard Jones of Shelby; and his siblings, Michael Towery of Lincolnton and Deborah Renee Towery of Shelby.
