He is survived by: his wife Patsy White; his stepdaughters, Sophia Zon Stewart (David) and Angelina Zon Smith; his grandchildren, Abrey Smith and Ayden Smith; his siblings, Martha Byrd Blanton of Adelaide, Australia and Donald Byrd (Kathryn) of Myrtle Beach, SC; his sister-in-law Betty Greene Byrd of Shelby, NC; his nephews, Derrick Blanton, Chris Blanton and Mark Byrd; and his niece Terena Blanton Downs.
