She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Ray and Mary Jane Hamlet Nixon; her husband Joe Costner; and her son Patrick Costner. She is survived by: her son Christopher Costner of Shelby; and her siblings, Nick Nixon of Alaska and Dora Bryan of Virginia. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
