She was predeceased by: her parents, James Frank Wood and Era Mae Wright Wood; her former husband Buren Jimmy Meade; her husband Gordon Lewis Griffin; her son Chris Meade; her grandson Chad Meade; her son-in-law Shawn Burton; and her siblings, James Wood, Norma Collins and Frances Wood.
She is survived by: her children, Tracy Burton of Shelby and Walter L. Griffin (Charisse) of Waldorf, Maryland; her daughter-in-law Sandy Meade of Shelby; her grandchildren, Delance Burton of Shelby, Brandi Blanton of Boiling Springs, Kyle Griffin (Varina) of Orlando, Shannon Griffin of Richmond, VA, Thomas, Matthew and William Griffin of Waldorf, MD; and her great grandchildren, Cory Blanton of Boiling Springs, Hunter Blanton of Boiling Springs and Skye Griffin of Orlando.
