He is survived by: his parent Georgia Bryte Beam Cabaniss; his wife Janice McSwain Cabaniss; his daughters, Sandy Cabaniss Darnell (Joe) of Shelby and Lorah Cabaniss Gold (Ned) of Shelby; his grandchildren, Bonnie Gold and Benjamin Gold (Mindy Chu); and his siblings, Robert Cabaniss (Evelyn) of Greensboro, Hal Cabaniss (Martha) of Shelby, Brenda Curtis (Steve) of Shelby and Doris Wright of Melbourne.
