With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Pearson of Shelby, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 1, 2026 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jarvis Pearson and Verdie Blanton Pearson; his wife Precilla "Jackie" McCluney Pearson; and his siblings, Ervin Pearson, Obie Pearson, Gerold Pearson, Doris Pearson Bright, Thelma Pearson Barnette and Betty Jean Cochran.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Daniel "Chuck" Pearson and Susan Bennett (Keith); his grandson Chase Pearson; and his brother Bill Pearson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
